CTBH has compiled a compendium of measures to evaluate implementation of digital therapeutic interventions at all stages of intervention research. We invite colleagues to include these measures in studies of digital therapeutic behavioral health interventions. The compendium is available in the Resources section of the CTBH website.
Our goal is to promote harmonized measurement of implementation at all stages of digital therapeutic intervention research. By using a common set of measures, we aim to expand the knowledge base with regard to mechanisms of, and facilitators and barriers to, implementation of digital interventions.
Instrument selection was guided by implementation science frameworks, existing repositories of evidence-based instruments, and demonstrated strong psychometric properties in published empirical literature.
The compendium includes instruments for implementation outcomes (acceptability, appropriateness, cost, feasibility, acceptability), intervention characteristics (usability, perceptions of intervention characteristics), and characteristics of organization setting (implementation leadership, implementation climate, organizational readiness). Included on the website are descriptions of measures with relevant citations and links to the instruments. We provide a table to guide use of the instruments in studies across stages of digital intervention research, based on the Stage Model of intervention development.
If you are interested in integrating these measures into your research, please email info@c4tbh.org to obtain a table with editable documents for each instrument.
