Sonia draws upon her education and professional experience to coordinate Center activities and provide programmatic support and oversight across all Cores.

Sonia graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Communication Sciences from the University of Connecticut. She was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and was named a New England Scholar. Sonia earned her MEd in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University.

Sonia’s diverse professional experience includes grant management and development for a community based non-profit as well as business development in a full-service financial firm. Prior to joining CTBH, Sonia worked at a research University providing pre-award and post-award project support to the department’s faculty.

In her free time Sonia enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially planning activities and trips with her husband and two kids.
