Katie Haile, MPH

Katie Haile is a public health researcher passionate about addressing population health challenges with empathy and evidence-based solutions. She has nearly a decade of experience in program monitoring, evaluation, and public health surveillance, with a focus in the areas of cancer prevention, cancer survivorship, and excessive alcohol use prevention. Specifically, her work has focused on evaluating the effectiveness of policy, systems, and environmental change interventions on health behaviors. She’s particularly interested in bridging the gap between research and real-world implementation to ensure that research outcomes translate into feasible options for improving health. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from SUNY Geneseo and a Master’s Degree in Public Health (Epidemiology) from SUNY Albany.
Outside of work, she enjoys baking paleo treats, diving into the latest true crime documentary, enjoying live music, and traveling with her husband and inquisitive son.
