Sougata Sen is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus. Prior to joining BITS, he completed two postdocs, one at Northwestern University, and another at Dartmouth College. Sougata earned his PhD in 2017 from the School of Information Systems(SIS) at Singapore Management University (SMU), where he was supervised by Prof. Archan Misra. His PhD thesis was titled “Fusing mobile, wearable and infrastructure sensing for immersive daily lifestyle analytics”. In addition to academic research, Sougata also has more than 6 years of industry research experience, where he was working on topics in the Wireless Sensor Network domain.
