Article Excerpt: 9/21/2012 – Nearly one in five healthcare organizations is pursuing a mobile health initiative without having a specific focus or objectives, according to new research by Medullan, a Cambridge, Mass.-based IT consulting firm. This finding concerns mHealth proponents, who feel that mobile health projects undertaken without a clear goal are doomed to failure because they won’t be sustainable. The lack of a driving focus behing mHealth was particularly noticeable in larger companies (1,000 to 4,999 employees), as well as pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
