Director of Research
Cannabis Public Policy Consulting
About the Presentation: A single session intervention trial prompting the creation and imagination of positive future events across life domains, known as domain-specific episodic future thinking DS-EFT), has shown initial promise as a digital intervention for reducing cannabis use among those seeking treatment. This presentation will highlight the methods and results of the initial trial, in addition to the findings from a follow up study, both of which were supported by the CTBH pilot fund. The follow up study examines the efficacy of a six-week DS-EFT intervention relative to an active control condition on the number of grams and days of cannabis use. Implications and future directions for both research and application will be discussed.
