Devan’s research interests include patient treatment adherence behaviors and clinical decision-making tools within chronically ill populations.
She has studied interventions to reduce fear of hypoglycemia in children with type 1 diabetes as well as ways to integrate medical and psychological care to improve their self-management behaviors and health outcomes. She has also worked with 9/11 first responders combating anxiety and studied fertility treatment decision-making tools for young adults with cancer.
At the CTBH, Devan hopes to build off of her prior research exeperiences and better understand ways to improve self-care practices for people with type 1 diabetes.
